I know it has been a long time, so here is a quick update on everything coming up...
I have recently completed Twenty-Four years on the Newport R.I. Fire Department and have one year left to go. I fully intend to enjoy my last year to the fullest as I continue to put paper to pen on my next book. By the way, all the things I've seen being on the Fire Department leaves me with endless stories. Some funny, some sad, some exciting and some boring. Unfortunately, for all us Firefighters most are horrible. And every Firefighter has more than a handful that will haunt them forever. I know mine... Some of the good is the brotherhood we all share, and the fact that we all get to be such a strong part of the Newport community. Now moving on...
I am hoping to have my recording studio/office done within a year after retiring. That will be my main focus so I can finally have the freedom to write and record all kinds of projects. For now my first book, "Welcome to the Absolutely Astounding Life of Whistle Evel Fonzarelli Starr." is doing very well. And the audiobook that I narrate is setting up well. Movie?, who knows?
Now, my next book, "Beautiful Nightmares." is a little over halfway written and I love it. It definitely spurs my creativity. All I can say is, get ready for an incredible ride because it is going to be so much fun. So in the meantime, from my family to yours, enjoy the rest of the Summer and Whistle on!
