Shane Joseph Hopkins is a newly retired twenty-five-year veteran of the Newport Rhode Island Fire Department.
Before that, Shane served his country in the United States military during “not so friendly times.”
After his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged from the United States Navy.
He now lives with his wife, Lisa in their log cabin surrounded by plenty of woods on six acres in Southern Rhode Island.
They have two grown children; Kelcey Read and Dryden Peter. They also enjoy seven crazy grandchildren.

Anyone faint-of-heart should not pick this book up at all and simply walk away. Is that tag-line scary enough? Should I put that on the sleeve? Okay in all seriousness- I had such a great time writing and compiling these stories and I can’t wait to share them with you. The rollercoaster ride is fast and these tales will leave your mind spinning. I’ve always loved stories from the darker side of life – And in these tales I really tried to bring out human emotions, intrigue and a real twist. My hope is that you will connect to these, with questions of your own. Are the characters good? Are the characters bad? Well, jump in and figure that out for yourself.
